Finding a suitable place to live during your studies at VIVES is important. That is why we are happy to help you with this. VIVES currently has accommodations available in Kortrijk, Roeselare and Bruges. If you study in Ostend or Torhout, you can easily commute to your campus from your accomodation in Bruges using public transport.
It is important that, as part of your application, you also notify us immediately whether you want us to provide you with accommodation or whether you want to look for your own accommodation. Please note that we can only offer limited accommodation and that it is wise to apply for this as soon as possible.
As evidenced by the throngs of tourists that flood the city daily, Bruges is an exciting city with plenty to offer. While tourists are drawn to the picturesque views of medieval canals and façades throughout the city, the students here are often drawn to other, no less exciting things.
Note: students that study in Ostend and Torhout, must also apply for housing in Bruges.
Kortrijk is one of the oldest cities in Belgium, located in the south of the province of West Flanders. The city is known for its many squares, streets and cafes. All study areas in Kortrijk have been brought together on a campus, surrounded by entertainment areas, shops, parks, sports facilities and numerous cultural opportunities. By bus you are less than ten minutes from the station, from where you can take trains to all major cities in Europe.
Roeselare is really located in the centre of West Flanders, so wherever you come from, you're guaranteed to come here. Whether you're on the spot or commuting, there's something for everyone in the city. Roeselare is a large outdoor shopping mall, so you can shop to your heart's content in the many shops in your free time.
