International and Intercultural Week 2020 - Applied Social Studies

The professional Bachelor Programmes in Applied Social Studies at VIVES are very pleased to invite you to their annual International and Intercultural Week from 16 tot 20 November 2020.

In anticipation of further COVID-19 measures, the week will mostly be organised online and off-campus this year. We nevertheless warmly welcome lecturers and students from partner institutions to participate in this exciting week of interdisciplinary virtual learning and interaction. We proudly present the main theme, linked with the SDG’s - Sustainable Development Goals.

Resilience and Global Transformation

Surfing the waves of change

The concepts ‘resilience’ and ‘global transformation’ as well as the ‘SDG framework’ will be highlighted and approached from different perspectives in some plenary sessions, after which they will be explored in more depth in seminars and workshops. As guest lecturer, you are kindly invited to cooperate in developing the program and/or present a live/synchronous or a-synchronous lecture, workshop or interactive seminar to our second-year students in Applied Psychology, Applied Security Studies, Social Work and Socio-Educational Care Work.

Students from your institution and program are also very welcome to join online group work, lectures and presentations. For further information on submission of abstracts, provisional programme and accommodation options please contact one of our team members. If you can join us on campus, depending on possible measures at the time, you are most welcome to strengthen our relationship and network.
