Every workspace of VIVES is equipped with a Wi-Fi network. So you can connect to the wireless Internet from your own device in these rooms. The possibility of wireless printing on one of the school's printers is also possible. Thanks to Eduroam, it is also possible to connect to the internet free of charge in all universities of applied sciences and universities (including abroad) that are part of the Eduroam network.

Do I need a laptop?

We no longer learn on command, we want to learn at our own pace and where and when it suits us. Being able to access all the digital learning material at those moments is very handy. That is why we encourage students to bring their personal laptops to the university. Our buildings are fully developed as wireless campuses.

Your personal login

Each student receives a unique login at the beginning of the first academic year. Never share it with anyone and keep your password strictly personal. You cannot change your login, but you can change the password with which you use the login. The Account Manager allows you to activate your login and change your password.

Virtual Desktop Interface

Each user can access a virtual Windows PC via the link vdi.vives.be. With this tool, you can also use various software outside the campus that can normally only be found on the PCs of the university of applied sciences. This works on PCs, macs, tablets and smartphones. You can also access your personal files within our network through files.vives.be.
