With our Bio Tech programme, you’re on your way to becoming a food safety expert. Learn all about food analysis, and detection and analysis of microorganisms in our nutrition and microbiology courses.
What will I learn?
Biotechnology is divided into four main domains:
- red biotechnology (medical)
- green biotechnology (food and agriculture)
- white biotechnology (bio-based)
- blue biotechnology (marine)
Whatever domain you choose, you're bound to study nature through a microscope. Your research and analyse can lead to a groundbreaking vaccine, a climate-friendly way of producing food or a breakthrough in a crime case thanks to DNA analysis.
Bio Tech is more than just technology. Ethics play an important part in your career and it's key to develop a professional view. How far can we go in DNA research? Genetically modified organisms (GMOs): a go-go or a no-go? Making well-considered choices with attention for social situations is embedded into your entire programme.
